While some of you may have your (kid’s) costumes picked out, others might be more interested in how you will be Decorating your RV for Halloween. With Halloween right around the corner, many folks are starting to think about how to dress up their RV for some Halloween Fun!
There are many simple, inexpensive, and FUN ways to make your RV really shine for the month of October! First off, you will want to consider just how decked out you want it to be. Then you will want to take into account what your budget is and how many things (if any) you might want to store for next year. For most RVers, space is limited, so I will focus on just those decorations that are either disposable or easily stored for next year.
Your first stop for easy home-made or cheap store-bought decor should be your local Dollar Store (99 cents store, Dollar Tree, etc). A Walmart or other local supermarket should also work just as well if your area doesn’t have a good dollar store.
Grab some cheap Halloween Lights to string up around your site and along your awning. If you are pinching pennies or just want an easily reusable alternative to Halloween lights, you can also buy a small string of clear Christmas lights and then make little pumpkins out of orange construction paper to tape up in between each light (just be sure that you get the little ones that don’t get too hot to avoid a fire hazard).
Buy some mini or medium-sized pumpkins to carve some jack-o-lanterns to place around your campsite. You can also hand paint them if you plan to reuse them for making your homemade pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving. Next, get a package of “spider web” and some other harvest time favorites, such as scarecrows and bales of hay, or for a more spooky approach: goblins, witches, and ghosts. If you really like to go all out, you can even set up a “cemetery” outside your RV, with little home-made or store-bought tombstones and some well-placed skeletons for effect.
Get creative and go all out or just be simple and festive, either way….Enjoy your fall season and have yourself a very HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!
