Beth,
If you have a cieling light within a couple of feet of where your vent location is- you just use those wires to splice into. Make sure you get the “hot” to your new vent location along with the neutral. They should be black and white respectively. You can usually get to these wires through the foam between roof layers- once you get the old vent out.

You make it look so easy to install the Sure Flow Comfort Air. However, we don’t have electricity in our regular air vent. What would we have to do to bring electrcity to the hole?

I too bought a comfort aire and showed my neighbor it and he bought one and then it rained and the cover didn’t close on either one and the co. shipped us new rain sensonors and they still didn’t close with water hitting the sensors. A MAXAIRE works just fine to keep the rain out. I didn’t want that big ugly thing on my roof, but what is is.

I don’t want to rain on anyone’s parade, but…….I bought one of these a few years ago. After I installed it- the fan didn’t work. After troubleshooting, I found the switch and control board defective. When I called Shureflo- they were very nice and mailed me a replacecement. When I installed it- that too did not work. I called again, and so on. After the fourth defective part was mailed and found to be bad as well….they finally mailed me the whole fan assy.- minus the motor and fan. It worked like a charm. This whole process took about 6 weeks to finally iron out, and I have subsequently sold the motorhome, but when we got our new one, I bought a Fantastic Vent…not because it’s better, but I simply wanted no chance of this whole episode repeating itself.
