Campers Cove’s Family Campground is a Hidden Jewel of Southern Ontario

The Gerrish family has owned and operated Campers Cove Campground since the early 1960s. They welcome you to enjoy a family atmosphere campground with a wide variety of on-site activities for young and old. Campers Cove Campground offers visitors sun, fun and friends on the North Shore of Lake Erie in Wheatley, Ontario just an hour from the Windsor/Detroit border.

Campground Amenities

Campers Cove has 323 seasonal and overnight sites with 30/50 amp power available.  Activities include swimming, fishing, basketball, shuffleboard, badminton, sand volleyball court, kayak and bike rentals, three playgrounds and a LittleTyke area along with 1200 ft of sandy beach. Washrooms are second to none according to a testimonial written by Brian Flynn when he stated that “When we walked into the shower/toilets I thought we were in a five-star hotel.” Don’t have an RV or camper, no worries! Campers Cove has rental cabins available so the family can enjoy the camping experience together.

Things to Do

Campers Cove Campground is committed to making your stay a most enjoyable experience through a complete recreation program. The seasonal schedule includes live music and organized events for children and adults. Beach dances, fishing derbies and chili cook-offs are just a few of the events that are a favorite of campers.

Campers Cove Campground’s prime location in southern Ontario provides the opportunity for campers to enjoy visiting over fifteen award-winning wineries.

The campground is also a favorite camping spot for bird watchers. Just minutes away from some of the most popular birding locations in southern Canada. Enjoy all that Point Pelee National Park and Jack Miner’s Bird Sanctuary have to offer. Take advantage of special Campers Cove birding packages available in the spring and fall season.

Campers Cove is open from late April until late September ensuring that campers can enjoy the prime weather that southern Ontario offers. Nature is at its best during these seasons and allows you to enjoy the lush grounds and natural beauty of the area.
