California: Vincent Arroyo Winery, Calistoga

The unique soil gives the Petite Sirah grapes awesome flavors. The Vincent Arroyo Family Winery produces over 8,000 cases of ten different varietals.

Connecticut: Taylor Brooke Winery, Woodstock

This winery has introduced a revolutionary concept called “Adopt-A-Vine.” More than a wine a month club, it gives you the opportunity to “own” a vine and take home a bottle at each season for the next three years.

Florida: Aspirations Winery, Clearwater

Specializing in low sulfite wines, they hand-craft over 25 wines annually.

This micro-winery is the only Certified Florida Farm Winery in Clearwater. They specialize in making fruit-infused wines; however, they also produce dry reds. Finding them can be tricky, so try inserting their name, “Aspirations Winery” rather than the address.

Iowa: Fireside Winery, Marengo

Located just minutes from the Amana Colonies, you’ll find reds of estate Marquette and Frontenac.

Kansas: Grace Hill Winery, Whitewater

Kentucky: Talon Winery & Vineyard, Lexington

Nestled amongst some of Kentucky’s finest horse farms, Talon Winery provides a country getaway just minutes from the city. Enjoy tastings every day of the week in their 18th-century tasting room.

Louisiana: Landrys Vineyard, West Monroe

With delicious food including Cajun classics like jambalaya and boudin and at least 15 wines to choose from, this is a must-visit. More reasons to visit include gorgeous sprawling hills, live music within a charming community.

 “This is a must if you’re in Camden. The wine is excellent, they give you plenty of samples, and location is just breathtaking. My advice would be to skip the tour, sample the wines, then buy a glass with some cheese and sit on the deck.” Hope G., Yelp.

Maryland: Boordy Vineyards, Hydes

Located in the scenic town of Augusta Missouri which is nestled on the bluffs overlooking the Missouri River Valley, Augusta wines are produced in small quantities so that special care may be given to each lot.

Pontotoc means “Land of Hanging Grapes.”  Located in the Northern Hill Country, it’s persevered through the typhoid fever epidemic and the fire of 1946. With a mission to make vintage wines, the grapes are hand harvested and selected. Try the 2016 San Fernando Academy: 42% Tempranillo / 38% Syrah / 20% Alicante Bouschet.

This winery is the absolute best. If you are in the area you absolutely have to visit…I can’t tell you how many people I heard raving about the wine and sangria. The thing that really got me was their cheeseboard… It was an extra fun touch to see the winery featured on the cover of the May Southwest Airline magazine on the way home.
