Our first time to go camping was with my husband and 2 sons. He had bypass surgery in July and bought a small trailer later in the year. We decided to go to Disney World so the boys could experience it. First the bathroom sink leaked and flooded the bags under it.
We made it to Florida, but on the way home we camped in Perry, Florida. Boys in bed I went to do laundry. Came back and husband was asleep on the couch, which was our bed. Woke him and told him to fix the bed. When he pulled out the bed a pin on drop down table was on that side. A hot pot of coffee went on his sock clad feet. He let out a yell which brought the boys out. I had to drive and get him to an emergency room.
Never pulling a trailer, especially with a stickshift truck, was quite a challenge. But we made it home and I have learned to pull or drive anything we have had. He is deceased now and I still go in the motorhome.
