Article provided courtesy of ABCMediaNet.com“Marcus Lemonis, Miami, FL” – CEO & Chairman of Camping World and Good Sam touches the lives of many when he returns to a very disadvantaged community of his Miami childhood hometown to secretly seek out those most in need. Over the course of seven days, this billion dollar business owner leaves his luxurious Chicago lifestyle and moves into a rundown trailer at welfare level wages. While there, he volunteers and gets to know some selfless heroes who are sacrificing their time, energy and money to provide a good home for young women at risk and to clothe children living in poverty. At week’s end, Marcus gifts these amazing people with hundreds of thousands of dollars of his own money and confesses to having had “the single greatest experience of his life,” on “Secret Millionaire,” SUNDAY, AUGUST 5 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET), on The ABC Television Network.
Marcus Lemonis came from a notable beginning. He was abandoned in Beirut, Lebanon during the chaos of civil war and foreign invasions. At nine months old he was adopted, then raised in Miami, Florida. Based on the hit UK series of the same name, each episode of “Secret Millionaire” follows one of America’s most successful business people for one week as they leave behind their lavish lifestyles, sprawling mansions and luxury jets, conceal their true identities, and go to live and volunteer in some of the most impoverished and dangerous neighborhoods in the country. Their mission is to discover deserving individuals who continually sacrifice everything to help those in need, and ultimately encourage others to do the same. Throughout this incredible, life-changing experience, the Secret Millionaires attempt to remain undiscovered, coming face to face with extraordinary people battling the odds every day of their lives. On the final day, in an emotional and dramatic climax, they reveal their true identities. Ultimately, the millionaires each give away a great deal of their own money, changing lives forever and encouraging others to keep giving back.

Mr. Lemonis, my Wife and I, would like to thank you for sending us your “Marcus VIP Discount” and invitation to your “VIP Function” on Saturday for the Daytona Beach Rally. We do not travel in our RV as much these days, and this opportunity reminded us again why we have an RV and so enjoyed this life-style over the years of raising our four children. We are once agan motivated to crank up the ole rig and get out and enjoy this wonderful Contry of ours, but continue our love of cruising to other parts of the World as well.
There was so much to enjoy about the rally, from climbing in and out of so many new and spacious rigs, to both of the fantastic shows with Kenny and Rebya, to the warm acceptance of members of the Military with the parade…I was honored to be ask to carry the Colors to end the march to the “grandstand. (I have downloaded COL Wilhite’s book after his stirring address.) Your talk about returning the the “values of membership” and the basic objectives of Good Sam was right on track, and clearly motivated Betty and me.
Again, Sir, we thank you you.

I really enjoyed this episode because of the charities that Lemonis chose, which help children. Being an orphan, he understands the plight of being poor and feeling alone. He wanted those kids to know what it was like to have new clothes that weren’t a hand-me-down, which is admirable. My Dish coworker comes over with his family once a week, and this is one of the inspiring shows we watch together.
