Start your Dayton tour at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force, the largest military aviation museum in the world. Explore more than 200 planes and hundreds of exhibits spanning aviation history, from the early wood-and-canvas aircraft all the way to the stealth planes of the modern era. Don’t miss the Behind the Scenes Tour of the Restoration Hangar for a glimpse of planes as they’re being refurbished.
The Wright Stuff
Aviation Heritage National Historical Park is home to the Wright Brothers Bicycle Shop, where two brothers dared to dream of human-engineered flight more than 100 years ago. Huffman Prairie Flying Field offers a chance to see where their dreams took flight. This National Historic Landmark provides an Interpretive Center and is home to the original 1905 Wright Flyer III.

Experience the Proto Print Lab, where a design from the computer is created for you one layer at a time with plastic or other materials. Dayton Does Nature
Outdoor enthusiasts will love Five Rivers MetroParks, a regional public park system that’s made up of conservatories with outdoor recreation and educational programs. Here, Cox Arboretum is the perfect place to connect with nature, with nature trails that wend through gardens and mazes. Check out the Butterfly House, home to hundreds of colorful insects.
