My wife and I have a bit of arthritis and often find the simple act of opening the gas cap on our tow vehicle to be bothersome. I cut a notch to fit the raised area on the gas cap on one end of a 6-inch long piece of PVC pipe, drilled a hole at the top of the pipe and slid a wooden dowel in the hole to act as a handle. Now, opening the cap is a cinch.

My mother’s neighbor made one of these years ago for her after my father passed and she had to start pumping her own gas! Worked great! Only regret after she passed, we forgot to get it out from under the seat when we sold the car!
