Washington: The most northwestern state offers up amazing wineries, alpine vistas, rolling hills and gorgeous archipelago, providing unforgettable opportunities to view art and orcas. The Evergreen State is also home to abundant evergreen forests, wetland estuaries, rich with opportunities for outdoor activities. On May 29, Gov. Jay Inslee released an updated, county-by-county based “Safe Start” reopening plan for resuming recreational, social and business activities. Idaho: Known for having the most whitewater river miles in the lower 48 states, The Gem State’s whitewater rafting trips are arguably the best anywhere. And in the winter, Sun Valley in southern Idaho attracts skiing enthusiasts from all over. Hiking enthusiasts can also rejoice with over 750,000 wildland acres within the Sawtooth National Recreation Area alone.
