Blue Ox launches Super Ride Fifth Wheel hitch for easier towing.

Blue Ox, a family-owned business that has been on the forefront of innovation for 92 years, recently introduced the Blue Ox Super Ride™ 20K Fifth Wheel Slider hitch for 2017.

Two models are available: BXR6200 attaches directly to the gooseneck ball and not the socket, making it compatible with any gooseneck hitch with a 2-5/16” hitch ball. A second model: BXR7200 attaches to industry standard bed rails.

Key features include: 11” of travel to prevent the trailer from striking the back of the cab; a self-locking hitch head for quick and easy hookups; and a convenient lightweight design that is assembled/disassembled in three pieces enabling one person installation and removal.

The Super Ride also features a cushioned hitch head, which allows for a smooth ride while towing, and eliminates the bucking and stress on the truck and trailer. The hitch head plate is manufactured from a high-density plastic that does not require grease, eliminating the mess caused by steel hitch heads requiring a coat of grease or a lubricating plate.

    Blue Ox Connects With RVers

Blue Ox has long been a leading manufacturer of tow bars designed for dinghy towing with a motorhome. The newest member of the company’s line of recreational tow bars is the Avail™. The Avail is two inches longer, specifically designed to smooth the ride while towing and fits towed vehicles with wide or narrow stances. The patented latches will not bind, even if unhooking on rough terrain. The bronze powder coat paint complements the earth tones of today’s motorhomes.

The Swaypro weight distributing hitch is a popular favorite of customers who tow recreational trailers. The Swaypro hitch’s built-in sway prevention works in any weather. Unlike traditional hitches using friction to reduce sway, which stops working in wet conditions, Swaypro eliminates sway through a caster effect similar to the steering components of a passenger car or truck. The spring steel bars are constantly working to keep the trailer in-line with the center of the tow vehicle and keep doing their job under any weather conditions.

The hitch head angle is pre-adjusted and does not require the user to set the angle of the head. The hitch comes in a variety of models designed to accommodate the bumper height of the tow vehicle.

    Blue Ox Family History

Blue Ox, a family owned business, was founded in 1925 as Automatic Manufacturing, Inc., a manufacturer of agricultural equipment. In 1994, Blue Ox became the first company to design and manufacture motorhome mount tow bars, shortly followed by the first removable tab baseplate. Today, Blue Ox continues to design and manufactures a popular and comprehensive line of high quality towing products for the recreational market.

I recently purchased a. Blue Ox 7200 that did as claimed and attached to the
I S R rails in the bed of my Ram 3500. The unit comes very well packaged in 3 boxes strapped and shrink wrapped on a pallet..Set up was very easy , it can be done with one person but two make it a little easier.
Once in the truck I attempted to hook up to my raptor 300mp and this is where I had an issue.
Depending on the manufacturer of your pin box and the length of the pin will be the determining factor. The jaws on mine are a little wide for the pin box on my trailer .
I called the manufacturer and they are sending a new set of jaws. They will be here this week and I will post a follow up with pictures . Travel safe !!!
