RV expert Mark Polk of RV Education 101, (producer & host of America’s most highly regarded series of DVD’s, videos, books, and e-books) is a retired Army Chief Warrant Officer Three, specializing in wheeled and track vehicle fleet maintenance operations.
In addition to owning and operating RV Education 101 since 1999, Mark also has a very extensive RV background working in RV service, sales and management. Mark has a degree in Industrial Management Technology and his 30 plus years of experience in maintenance includes working as an RV technician, a wheeled vehicle and power generation mechanic, an automotive maintenance technician, Battalion and Brigade level Maintenance Officer, an RV sales manager and also in the RV financing department as the Finance & Insurance manager.
Dawn Polk is Mark’s wife and is RV Education 101’s Sales and Marketing director. After 3 years in RV sales, she left her position to help start RV Education 101. Mark and Dawn started RV Education 101 because they were concerned about the lack of education and safety awareness for the RV consumer.
Mark & Dawn have two boys, Tyler 11 and Josh 17, both avid RVers. Josh and Tyler both love to play baseball (especially “catch” in the backyard with dad). They are forever asking when we can “HIT THE ROAD” again. Two dogs, Gracie and Buck, are also part of the Polk family. Gracie is the good one. They travel about 10,000 miles a year in their 35-foot Class A motor home, and feel that there is not enough emphasis placed on properly educating the RV consumer on the complexities of owning and operating an RV.
