Lug_Nut’s real world name is Peter Mercer. Peter lives in Ontario, Canada and spends most of the winter in Southwest Florida. He’s semi-retired but still owns a business in Canada. Peter’s hobbies have always involved mobility in some way: flying, boating and now, RVing.
Peter currently holds a commercial aircraft pilot’s license in both Canada and the U.S. He’s owned boats and has sailed extensively in the Great Lakes, the Atlantic, the Gulf of Mexico, the Caribbean, Mediterranean and the Pacific. He also has captained both power and sail vessels from Canada to the Gulf and back.
Having previously owned four motor homes, Peter currently has an ’07 Newmar Essex. He’s been a member of RV.net since ’02, and is quoted as saying ” I’ve thoroughly enjoyed exchanging ideas and experiences with many other like people”.
