Jim O’Briant is a part-time RVer and avid musician from Gilroy, CA. Jim and his Significant Other, Kay, take weekend RVing trips whenever possible, sometimes with one of two RV clubs, sometimes to jazz festivals, and sometimes just out on their own for a quiet weekend away from home.
Jim also plays tuba in the Pacific Brass (a British-style Brass Band), the South Valley Symphony Orchestra, and several traditional New Orleans style jazz bands including his own band, the Zinfandel Stompers.
In January 2007, Jim started the OvernightRVParking Yahoo Group, which grew to more than 4,000 members in its first year. The listing of places where RVers are and aren’t allowed to park overnight, compiled for the members of that Group, has been called the most accurate and comprehensive available. It currently includes more than 3,500 locations in the USA and Canada, and continues to grow steadily. The data in that listing will be available online, searchable by location, when his www.OvernightRVParking.com website goes live. Launch is expected in March, 2008.
