Gary Smith

Gary Smith
Gary Smith received his BS degree in Environmental Education and Biology from the Western Washington University. He has taught environmental and biological classes for Nature’s Classroom before pursuing a career as a Paramedic.

Currently, Gary is a Paramedic who teaches ACLS and PALS courses as well as paramedic classes. He is well-versed in field first aid as well as camping safety.

When not working, he and his family enjoy camping, fishing, boating, hunting, and planning the next summer’s camping excursions. His most recent camping trips have been to Yellowstone and Okeefenokee Swamp down in Georgia.

The grayer he gets and the wiser he becomes with age, the more he hopes to become Western Pennsylvania’s answer to Sean Connery.

This profile was written by his co-planner for trips, Pamela.
