Moab — an Outoor Lover’s Paradise

For colossal adventure and geographical drama of Jurassic proportions, head to Moab in Utah’s Colorado Plateau. With cosmic hiking, biking, climbing, jeeping and whitewater rafting all within a short drive, Moab is a nucleus for various breeds of outdoor lovers. Less than 10 inches of rain per year and moderate winter temperatures make Moab a 12-month vacation locale. The peak-season atmosphere is fun, but the winter months aren’t too cold.

Moab is smack in the middle of Arches, Canyonlands and a hundred other sandstone adventures. If Poseidon had a mountain bike and this was his kingdom, he might think he’d reached eternal paradise.

Rugged Terrain and Welcoming Town

If the Tigris and Euphrates are the Cradle of Civilization, the confluence of the Green River and the Colorado River is the Kiddie Bike Trailer of Uncivilization. Red dirt, whitewater and pinkish-orange sandstone constitute fertile ground for the sowing of wild oats.

If, at the end of the day, after expelling all of your energy discovering everything Moab has to offer, enjoy dinner at one of our top-rated restaurants. The next day, maybe just walk around town shopping and enjoying meeting other visitors who are there for the same reasons.
