1. Campton

How did Campton get that name? It’s the site of a 1700’s surveyor’s camp…hence, Campton. Stop in Campton and visit a historic home, view a beautiful waterfall, take a boat tour, get a massage and much more. But whatever you do, don’t miss Campton’s 1869 Blair Bridge — a historic covered bridge that spans almost 300 feet across the Pemigewasset River. That’s as long as a football field!’
2. Lincoln

Lincoln is the home to outdoors activities to satisfy just about every enthusiast. You can take a 15-mile ride on the Hobo Railroad, while kids (and parents, grandparents) love the Whale’s Tale water park. Lincoln’s Summer Safari Tours take the whole family 6-wheeling through rugged and beautiful scenery. Skiing, biking, hiking and even horseback riding await you in and around Lincoln.
3. Carroll

You’ve never taken a ride like this one — the Mt. Washington Cog Railway near Carroll, New Hampshire. You’re in for a gravity-defying, 3-hour trip up the tallest mountain in all of New England. Take an old-fashioned steam engine train ride or choose an eco-conscious biodiesel-powered train. If you’re a “leaf peeper,” make this trip in the fall to catch New Hampshire’s spectacular fall color display.
