Evanne Schmarder
Host and Producer of the RV Cooking Show

Evanne Schmarder is a professional speaker, writer, editor, foodie, full-time RVer and unabashed explorer. Her love for traveling in a “recreational vehicle” was born of her experience as a chef on private yachts – a 52′ Bertram, 98′ Broward and finally a 139′ Feadship. She married in 1989 and discovered a new type of travel – a husband, a dog, and a dome tent. Her four month honeymoon tent camping adventure across the USA only encouraged her wanderlust but, alas, they “settled down” in Portland, Oregon.

11 years, a houseboat, and a corporate travel career later, change was in the air. The cool, dreary Portland winters were too much – warmer, drier climes were desired. But where?? In 2000, at the age of 34, she began her full-time RVing odyssey…looking for that elusive “hometown”. Instead of finding a suitable place to put down roots Evanne has developed a satisfying life on the road immersing herself in the local culture, campgrounds, and cuisine of towns and cities all across America.

In 2002 Evanne started Roadabode Productions offering a line of RV note and Christmas cards, RV-consumer focused writing services and trade focused communications and public relations consulting. Her list of clients includes such RV-industry notables as:

  • Go Camping America
  • RVTravel.com
  • Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort
  • Best Parks in America
  • BellaOnline.com
  • Woodalls.biz
  • Woodall’s Campground Management
  • ARVC

Offering her unique perspective as a full-time RVer and RV-related business owner, Evanne is a highly favored speaker presenting seminars to RV park and campground owners across the country. She also boasts a collection of RV Marvels videos – available on www.RVCookingShow.com – showcasing interesting and unique places and events.

Evanne’s most exciting project to date is the RV Cooking Show. A virtual cooking class on wheels with an RV travel twist, each less than 10-minute RV Cooking Show episode takes viewers on adventures to some of the most sought-after or interesting but little-known RV locales in the country then creates a healthy, easy, delicious destination-related dish in her RV kitchen. You´ll find her recipes in a print-friendly format and an addition tip or two about show destinations at www.RVCookingShow.com.

In sharing the joys of being on the road and sitting down to meals that evoke memories, Evanne will spark your sense of wanderlust – whether it be for a weekend trip or a lifetime of adventure.
