Throughout the year you will find a number of events and activities to keep you entertained during your stay, or maybe even convince you to extend it! Walk along the shady banks of the Guadalupe River on the recently completed Guadalupe River Trail that runs between Louise Hays and Kerrville-Schreiner Park. Thanks to a beautiful natural setting, the Kerrville area is a bird watchers dream! Keep an eye out for rare and endangered species like the Golden-Cheeked Warbler or the Green Kingfisher known to frequent the area. You’ll find that Kerrville is rich in history and nature but modern in its conveniences, stroll or historic downtown or make a day out of shopping unique and local shops and boutiques.

You’ll want to be sure to take time to visit one of the many renowned galleries and museums and see why so many craftsmen and artist find inspiration in the natural beauty that surrounds the Kerrville area. In fact, one such famous craftsmen James Avery, got his start here in Kerrville and the company continues to call Kerrville its home headquarters where you can shop and see how it all got started over sixty years ago. Relax and take one of the many scenic drives that wind along the hills as well as the head waters of the Guadalupe River.
