Welcome to Prince Edward Island

Prince Edward Island (PEI) exudes calm. Credit the pastoral vistas, idyllic beaches, hospitable folks and seaside villages. It’s been drawing visitors in search of relaxation for ages. From teeing off at stunning golf courses to discovering the world of Anne of Green Gables, PEI is the place to go to get away from it all.

Paradise Beaches and Epic Trails

Diminutive PEI manages to pack a mighty punch when it comes to the great outdoors. Play a round of golf at 25 courses. Swim in warm salt water and sink your feet in the “singing sands” of Basin Head Provincial Park. Follow hiking trails and view wildlife in the 37-mile Prince Edward Island National Park. The 270-mile Confederation Trail is a must if you’re an avid cyclist.

Cultural Treasures and Ocean-to-table Dining

Intriguing cultural landmarks and phenomenal dining will make your Charlottetown visit a memorable one. Catch a performance at the Confederation Centre of the Arts. Shop in historic buildings along Victoria Row. Discover over 2,000 military artifacts at the Prince Edward Island Regiment Museum. Step inside St. Dunstan’s Basilica, a church built in the French Gothic style in 1913. On the weekend, pick up pastries from the Charlottetown Farmers Market.

All About Anne

Anne of Green Gables fans will be glad to know the magical world of Green Gables exists, and can be found right here in PEI. Visit Green Gables Heritage Place to explore Lucy Maud Montgomery’s former home. Outside, walk along the Haunted Wood and Lovers Lane trails. Not far away is Avonlea Village, a charming community that’s been transformed to look like Anne’s neighborhood.
