1. Moncton
Starting point • History, Nature, Outdoor Recreation
The largest city in the province, Moncton bursts with summertime fun. The Magic Mountain Water Park is the largest manmade tourist attraction in Atlantic Canada, so if you’re there in the right season, be sure to spend a day sliding and splashing. Another sight not to miss is the Magnet Hill Zoo. With over 400 animals, this zoo is the largest in Atlantic Canada and is filled with species from all over the world.
2. St. John
Drive 93 miles, 1 hour, 31 minutes • Entertainment, Food, Outdoor Recreation
Often called a smaller, Canadian version of San Francisco, St. John is a beautiful place full of life. Bursting at the seams with music and art, this coastal town boasts skyscrapers and that overlook the bustling harbor. The Bay of Fundy’s tides never fail to amaze, and you’ll see why this body of water is one of the seven wonders of North America.
3. Fredericton
Drive 70 miles, 1 hour, 13 minutes • Entertainment, Food, History
The rich history the provincial capital is evident in its architecture. Victorian houses that have been maintained throughout the years are everywhere, along with tall, gorgeous trees. Home to the famous Historic Garrison District, Fredericton is filled with heritage, culture and entertainment. Festivals are a favorite here, so check out what ones are scheduled during your visit. The St. John River flowing through the city is a beautiful sight as well, and the waterfront is a great place to relax and enjoy your surroundings.
