Stuhr Museum Of the Prairie Pioneer

The Stuhr Museum is proud to be part of the Blue Star Museums program, which offers free admission to all active-duty military personnel and their families from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

By showing a valid military ID or associated documentation, active-duty military and their families are welcomed to enjoy Stuhr Museum, including our 1890’s Railroad Town, the Stuhr Building and Native American exhibits, free of charge during this time. Stuhr joins over 700 museums nationwide that are participating in the Blue Star program.

Last year, the Stuhr Museum saw over 400 active duty members of the military and their families through our gates as part of this program.

Active duty military and their families are welcomed to enjoy Stuhr Museum whenever they like this summer, and take part in special events, including our “1890’s Independence Day Celebration” on July 4, the “Nebraska Rod & Custom Car Show” on August 7 and many more. The free admission program is available to any bearer of a Geneva Convention Common Access card, a DD Form 1173 or a DD Form 1173-1, which includes active duty military and five immediate family members, Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, National Guard and Reserve.

Blue Star Museums is a partnership among Blue Star Families, the National Endowment for the Arts and participating museums across the country.
