Moab Travel Council

For colossal adventure and geographical drama of Jurassic proportions, head to Moab in Utah’s Colorado Plateau. With cosmic hiking, biking, climbing, jeeping and whitewater rafting all within a short drive, Moab is the nexus for various breeds of outdoor enthusiasts. With less than 10-inches of rain per year and moderate winter temperatures, Moab is a 12-month vacation locale. The peak season atmosphere is fun, but the winter months aren’t too cold.

Moab is smack in the middle of a region that includes Arches, Canyonlands and a 100 other sandstone adventures. If Poseidon had a mountain bike and this was his kingdom, Poseidon might have wondered if he wasn’t already in eternal paradise.

If the Tigris and Euphrates are the Cradle of Civilization, the confluence of the Green River and the Colorado River is the Kiddie Bike Trailer of Uncivilization. Red dirt, white water and pinkish-orange sandstone constitute fertile ground for the sowing of wild oats.

If, at the end of the day, you are expelled all of your energy discovering everything Moab has to offer, enjoy dinner at one of our top-rated restaurants and maybe tomorrow, just walk around town shopping and enjoying meeting other visitors who are there for the same reasons.
