Walnut Grove Celebrating 70 Years

Celebrating 70 years in business, Walnut Grove RV Park in Merriam Kansas is still going strong and better than ever. The original property was home to a dance hall, bar, and filling station before being purchased by Donna Cook. Donna converted the property into a trailer park in 1946. After her two daughters, Nancy Thompson and Jane Reynolds took over, the park was remodeled and converted into a RV Park.

One of the reasons for the park’s success is a growing business clientele. Walnut Grove gives business people an option to stay in their RV while remaining close to the action in Kansas City.

Park amenities include full hookup sites with 50/30 amp service, clean restrooms and showers, laundry, free WiFi, dog walk, ATM available, General Store, and storm shelter. Also offered are RV supplies, essentials, and propane.
