As subscribers to our YouTube Channel (http://goo.gl/vk1Cpb) know, we sometimes upload video interviews with RV experts. This week we have an interview with vintage trailer restoration expert Tim Heintz. Even if your preferred RV is a new modern RV, you may glean some tips from this interview.
Heintz owns and operates Heintz Designs Vintage Trailer Restoration in Panama City, Florida.
A visit to Heintz’s shop is a treat. You never know exactly what he may have under his care; you just know that it will be vintage.
On the day we visited, we saw three vintage Airstreams, and several other trailers that dated to the era of Ricky Ricardo.
The trailers were in many different stages of development. Some were almost complete, while others were stripped down to the frame.
Heintz Designs is able to do just about anything to a vintage trailer.
Heintz has overseen “frame up” restorations that have recreated entire trailers from the frame. His shop is able to fabricate discontinued parts if necessary.
In the video, Tim shares his throughts on buying a used or vintage Airstream. Of course, many of these principles apply to any brand of RV.
We hope this interview helps anyone in the market for an RV.
