Three Texas Good Sam Parks Win Honors from TACO

Three Good Sam Parks received honors from the Texas Association of Campground Owners (TACO) at the organization’s recent Spring Meeting and Trade Show. Rayford Crossing RV Resort, based in Spring, earned Park of the Year in the Large Category; Barefoot Bay Marina and RV Resort in Pittsburg nabbed Park of the Year Honors in the Medium Park Category; and Katy Lake RV Resort received Best Accommodations.

Rayford Crossing (right), which is reaping the benefits of a half-million dollar investment, has added a brand new dog park, along with a massive upgrade to the common areas and a facelift on the pools, buildings and patios. Rayford Crossing also received marketing honors from TACO.

Katy Lake RV Resort (left), one of the newest RV resorts in the Houston area, boasts amenities that include  five fully furnished Forest River park model RV rentals, including three Sandpipers, one Surveyor and one Open Range model for nightly, weekly or monthly rental. The resort also has a heated beach entry swimming pool and spa, a dog run with a dog wash station and an activity center with two large screen TVs, vending machines, free ice and a pool table.

Barefoot Bay Marina and Resort has expanded the park from 25 to 80 sites, lengthened the park’s nature trail, which provides viewing opportunities for 50 different varieties of birds, and built a new sports bar that overlooks the lake. The bar serves beer, wine and daiquiris as well as a full menu of great cuisine including pizza, hamburgers, BBQ beef & BBQ chicken sandwiches, grilled chicken sandwiches, hot wings and delicious side items. It has several large, flat screen TVs, a TV on the covered porch and six TVs on the large deck that overlooks the lake. It also has a Baggo game area.
