I could not find a suitable location to install my portable GPS in my motorhome. If I placed it on the windshield I could not reach it, and if I placed it on the side glass to my left, I had to take my eyes of the road to look at it. I found a great solution by going to my local glass shop and purchasing a 6-inch square piece of smoked glass with the edges sanded so they were not sharp. I then installed it on the dash of my motorhome in a convenient position using hook-and-loop fastener. It looks as if it is original equipment and should not damage the material on the dash as the hook-and-loop fastener is easily removed.
