Sunland Opens Doors to SoCal Residents Displaced by Fires

Sunland RV Resorts has opened the doors of its two desert locations to those who have been displaced by the Southern California wildfire.

Residents of the affected cities can receive a free night at Emerald Desert RV Resort in Palm Desert, or Golden Village Palms RV Resort in Hemet, through July 25, 2013. The affected cities include: Bonita Vista, Mountain Center, Idyllwild, Pine Spring Ranch, Pinyon Pines, Pine Cove and Fern Valley.

“We understand that these situations are scary and stressful for everyone involved,” stated Michael Carle, General Manager of Golden Village Palms RV Resort. “It is our goal to help our surrounding communities by giving families a place to go if they have been evacuated or are seeking a safer environment.”

The free night is available only to residents in affected areas, and RVs are required to stay on site. Domestic animals only, as Sunland RV Resorts cannot accommodate other animals including livestock. Reservations are required. Continued Carle, “On behalf of the entire Sunland RV Resorts family, our thoughts go out to the affected and to the firefighters working tirelessly to contain the blaze.”
