RVs come with ample storage compartments. But if these spaces aren’t used wisely, retrieving the gear you need during a trip can become a frustrating treasure hunt. Avoid chaotic clutter with some smart storage tips.
List It or Leave It. Before departure, list all the items you plan to bring and group them by location. For example, “fishing poles” and “tackle box” should be listed under the storage compartment where they’ll live. Then consider your plans. Do you need all that cargo? Cross off extraneous items.
Contain Kitchen Clutter. Food containers like cereal boxes take up a lot of space. Use stackable containers to store foodstuffs. Clear containers allow you to see the contents.

Go Vertical. Add extra shelves to cabinets if space allows. Install over-the-door and cabinet hangers. Use a shelf or caddy next to the door for smaller items like sunglasses.
Pack and Go. Items that you plan to use in camp, like grills and coolers, should go into exterior compartments last so that you can grab them first when you reach your site.
