Save AA & AAA Batteries with a Battery Tester

Got batteries? Get an inexpensive battery tester. The best selling testers – like the Amprobe BAT-200 – will check every popular size of battery, including AA, AAA, C, D, N, 9V, and even 1.5V. These testers will help you save good batteries that still retain a charge, while knowing which ones are ready for the recycle bin.

We have plenty of AA and AAA batteries in our RV. They power all sorts of electronic devices.

Some of these batteries are used for flashlights. Others for walkie-talkies. Still others for remote controls and camera gadgets.

Sometimes these batteries get removed from one device and placed into another. Sometimes they go in a storage drawer. How to know what kind of charge remains on the battery? Test it.

Operation is a breeze! Simply insert the battery into the tester (an adjustable slide arm allows many different sizes to fit) and take a look at the analog scale. The readout quickly identifies the battery charge level, from “low” to “good.”

By the way, we use Sanyo Eneloop rechargeable batteries and they are fantastic. If you want high quality rechargeable batteries (that are miles ahead of the old rechargeable technology) pick up some Eneloop.
