Oklahoma has long been synonymous with sweeping prairies, stoic cowboys and Sooner settlers. But did you know that it’s also home to gaming, fishing and great road trips? Take this spectacular RV Trip of a Lifetime in the Northwest corner of the state to discover some unexpected adventures.

1. Wyandotte—Starting Point

Check out the Indigo Sky Casino, with 1,200 electric games, 12 table games, off-track betting, a poker room and live bingo. There are four restaurants onsite with an eclectic array of cuisine to satisfy any appetite from classic American fare to the most sophisticated tastes.

2. Grove—21 miles, 26 minutes

Hit the Grand Lake Casino, where 45,000 square feet of gaming awaits you. Take your chances at over 800 slot machines and table games that include blackjack, 3 card poker and crazy 4 card, plus enjoy live entertainment and casual dining on site. Then grab your poles for fun in the sun and fishing on Grand Lake O’ the Cherokees.

3. Claremore—65.6 miles, 1 hour, 2 minutes

Route 66 goes by several names, including the “Will Rogers Highway,” so it’s no surprise that Route 66 snakes through the final home of Oklahoma’s favorite son and the museum named after him. The Will Rogers Memorial Museum consists of 12 galleries with photos, artifacts, manuscripts and memorabilia focusing on the humorist-philosopher’s life, from his Wild West shows to Vaudeville performances.

4. Gore—81.7 miles, 1 hour, 13 minutes

Welcome to the “Trout Capital of Oklahoma,” where year-round trout fishing is a way of life at this “sportsman’s paradise.” Lake Tenkiller and Greenleaf Lake give this area its designation as “Gateway to the Lakes.”
