Nebraska City Camping at Victorian Acres

Trailer Life Cream of the Crop Campsites: Victorian Acres Campground— Nebraska City, NE

This town along the Iowa border has a long, rich history and beautiful natural landscapes. Once you see the stately trees you’ll appreciate the community’s Arbor Day tradition (established in 1872). The Lewis & Clark Expedition stopped here in 1804 and many historic buildings still stand.

Victorian Acres RV Park & Campground is a lovely park surrounded by lush shade trees. On-site owners Angie and Dennis Sawyers welcome you to relax and explore all the wonders Nebraska City has to offer during your stay.

The park has fair gravel interior roads and 88 RV campsites on 26 acres. Pull-thru sites measure 30x 60’ and back-ins measure 28x 40’, each with a picnic table. You have the option of full hookups or water and electrical only. Both 30 amp and 50 amp service are available. The park also features a dump station, security and a public phone.

Impeccable restrooms and showers make this park feel like home. Catch up on your laundry with two coin-operated washers and dryers in the tidy laundry room. There’s also a full-size kitchen, club house dining area and vending machines for your convenience. LP gas, firewood and WiFi Internet are available too.

A rec hall is great for group gatherings, while the kids will enjoy the grassy playground and indoor game machine. The park also features daily newspapers, a library and video rentals for your entertainment. Pets are welcome but certain breed restrictions apply. Call the park office for details at (402) 873-6866.

Rates: Nightly fees vary depending on type of site, from $24-$28 plus tax. Good Sam Club members get a $2 per night discount. The campground is open year-round.

Area Attractions: Nebraska City is famous as the home of Arbor Day, which originated here in 1872. Situated along the Missouri River, permanent white settlement of the area began in 1846 at Fort Kearney (which was later moved to central Nebraska). Between the historic sites, museums and nature activities, you won’t be at a loss for things to do!

Spend the afternoon sampling local vintages at the area wineries. The area apple orchards make for plentiful stores of pies, turnovers and other treats and gifts. Yum!

Climate: Expect a humid Midwestern climate with hot summer temperatures. Summer thunderstorms and severe weather are also common.
