Camping World & Good Sam Sponsoring Wood Brothers Ford in Sprint Cup Races

Limited-Edition NASCAR Model Car Available for Preorder

Camping World and Good Sam are once again racing with the Wood Brothers and their driver Trevor Bayne, sponsoring the #21 Ford Fusion in three more upcoming NASCAR Sprint Cup series events. The Wood Brothers’ Ford will carry the bright red, blue and yellow signature colors of Camping World and Good Sam in races at the Atlanta Motor Speedway on September 2, Chicagoland Speedway on September 16 and Charlotte Motor Speedway on October 13. Bayne also piloted the #21 Ford, sponsored by Camping World and Good Sam, in the May 19 Sprint All-Star Race at Charlotte and said he is looking forward to the races ahead.

“Atlanta’s one of my favorite tracks,” said Bayne. “I love running at Charlotte in the fall, and Chicagoland will be good too.”

Die-cast models of the Wood Brothers’ #21 Ford Fusion bearing the colors of Camping World and Good Sam will be available at Camping World SuperCenters mid-October, or you can pre-order them now at CampingWorld.com/GoodSam21. These limited-edition model cars make great gifts for race fans, collectors and kids of all ages.

The addition of the four races with Camping World and Good Sam sponsorship extends the Wood Brothers’ 2012 season from 12 to 16 races. Team co-owner Eddie Wood especially appreciates adding race dates to nearby Charlotte. The speedway is only a couple of miles from the team’s shop in Harrisburg. Atlanta, where the Woods lead all other teams in race victories with 12, is also a favorite.

“We’re really excited to get the opportunity to run the race at Charlotte, and it’s great for our team to be returning to Atlanta and Chicago,” said Wood. “We’d like to thank Marcus Lemonis of Good Sam and Camping World for supporting us in these races.”

The Wood Brothers’ Ford’s paint design won this year’s inaugural 3M Paint with Pride competition. Cars that ran in the Sprint All-Star Showdown and Sprint All-Star race at Charlotte were eligible to compete. Lemonis, Camping World and Good Sam CEO, and Derek Gigliotti, Vice President of Creative at Camping World/Freedom Roads, came up with the design and color scheme. 3M Automotive Aftermarket sponsored the contest to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the 3M PPS System used on NASCAR race vehicles.
