I found out as a camp host given the fact you’re in the campground all the time versus occasional camping trips you tend to see some “different” things. In this blog I thought I’d offer some of the interesting things I’ve ran across and seen.
One is you can meet a wide variety of campers such as Melanie from Las Vegas. She was camping with her “dad” who has had her since a baby. At 33 years old she was the hit of the campground and drew quite a crowd! The kids loved her! While not your typical camper, nonetheless she enjoyed her trip to the beach. Here’s “Mel”…
Now this RV we weren’t sure what to call it so we just called it a Studebaker motor home!….
Being in the campground for so long you also see your share of “different RV’s as well. Here’s one I saw and talked to the couple. For me though I think I’d save this RV for my last camping trip!…
Some folks have to take everything including the kitchen sink when they go camping!….
And of course you have permanent residents in the campground and I became very good friends with “Rocky”. I really miss the little guy. I remember the day I had some treats in my hand and patted my leg and he ran up my pant leg, sat in my arm and gobbled his treats down. One lady almost fainted then scream to her husband she wasn’t camping here is the squirrels ran up your legs! Here’s my buddy…
He seemed to take to me right off..
Hey even campground squirrels get stressed during peak season!…
As a host sometimes you get tired of the crowd. When this happens and you need a break all you have to do is conjure up a flash flood! It works every time!
You also see many different modes of transportation. Here we have two lovely ladies cruising the campground during a time of high fuel prices….
Life in the campground as well as traveling can be very entertaining. Life on the road can be a very “educational” experience! Whether it be full-timing or RV’ing in general life is never boring.
