Samsung has earned a strong reputation in the HDTV space. We’ve owned several “Sammies” over the years and have found them to offer a nice blend of features, performance, and price.

When flat screen TVs were first introduced, we owned one small unit that we transferred back-and-forth between our RV and our brick-and-mortar home.
As prices have fallen faster and farther than my stock portfolio, it finally made sense to just go ahead and do a permanent wall mount install in our rig.
The benefits of a nice flat screen HDTV are quite obvious to anyone with functioning eyeballs. In addition to brilliant 1080p resolution (that’s available for FREE over-the-air with a standard Wingard antenna), these TVs weigh much less than their old school counterparts. Less weight is always appreciated in an RV. That means less to tow, and less for my back to lift.

How did we ever lift those old large screen CRT television sets? With a crane?
With each passing year, these TV sets just keep getting thinner. If only I could say the same for my midsection.

We installed our Samsung set using a special RV articulating and locking TV mount.
The benefit of the dedicated “RV mount” approach? It’s possible to lock the mount into place so that it does not move while we travel down the highway.
