Through the years, we’ve had all sorts of different visitors to our http://LongLongHoneymoon.com website. Everyone seems open to travel and new experiences. Most have an interest in RV camping. Many have a specific interest in Airstream or RV ownership. I wrote the book “How to Buy an Airstream” for the latter crowd.
Since its initial publication the book has sold very well, chalking up #1 bestseller status in Amazon’s Travel category. I’ve heard positive feedback from many people who are simply interested in buying an RV. Many of the principles discussed in the book will apply to any RV.
My goal with “How to Buy an Airstream” is to arm anyone interested in buying an Airstream with the essential information needed to bring home the right silver baby. This book is singularly focused on the purchasing process. (It is not about restoration, maintenance, or selling.) The basic principles discussed within will be helpful for anyone who is going shopping for any RV. Even if you are buying some other brand of RV or travel trailer, you’ll find useful information in this book. Hopefully, this book will save readers a lot of time, money, and heartache.
On Long Long Honeymoon, I mention the word “Airstream” so often that some people think I’m a company spokesperson. This is not the case. Quite simply, Airstream owners like me are weirdly enthusiastic about the product. We love Airstreams kind of like Harley Davidson owners love Harleys, and our passion for the product is sometimes a bit overexuberant. But if you read this book, you’ll learn that I am pragmatic with regard to Airstream and RV ownership. I don’t view the world through silver shaded glasses. This book details the bad and ugly, along with the good. Thankfully, for me the good outweighs the other stuff, and by a large margin.
For this little book video commercial, I pulled some footage from our Alaska archives. This video was shot on the Haines Highway, one of the prettiest stretches of road in North America. For some reason, we decided it was time to install our new double entendre Airstream license tag: SUITE.
