Following its success in 2012, advance planning is already well underway for The Camping World/Good Sam Rally’s return to Phoenix, Arizona in 2015. To be held at the Phoenix International Raceway March 10-22, The Rally will be bigger – 3,000 RVs are expected and better than ever with an expanded seminar lineup, presentations covering all aspects of the RV experience, more on-site activities and off-site tours, activities for youth and big-name entertainment each evening.
“It is our pleasure to facilitate an event that brings together thousands of RV enthusiasts from all over the country to celebrate the RV lifestyle, enjoy fun activities, great food, prizes and quality time with family and friends,” says Marcus Lemonis, Chairman and CEO of Camping World and Good Sam Enterprises. “We are excited to announce the return of America’s largest RV Rally to the RV community.”
I attended the first Good Sam rally in 2000, then called the Great North American RV Rally, at Gillette, Wyoming as a seminar presenter. It was great fun meeting RVers from all over the country as well as some of the RV industry’s leading experts in all things RVing, making it also a premier educational opportunity. At the time it was North America’s largest RV event – and has remained so ever since.
If you’ve asked, where will the road take you this RVing season, place The Rally at the top of your destination list. But you might also want to ask where will the road take you after The Rally, because the new skills you learn, friends you make and the lure of the destination presentations you will see could likely expand your options. Will you head for the big outdoors of Montana’s Big Sky Country or for that exciting Good Sam family resort you heard about at The Rally?
But while you are there, take advantage of the more than 120 seminars – 30+ each day covering such topics as healthy cooking on the road, chassis systems, RV troubleshooting techniques, and RV caravan travel. Also visit all the new vehicle displays, exhibits (more than 350+ booths featuring the latest in RV products and services) and presentations you can; it’s a once-a-year opportunity. You can keep up with the news and development of the agenda on The Rally website.
Wherever you head after The Rally, be sure to consult with the Good Sam RV Travel Guide & Campground Directory where you can plan your trip and make reservations.
