Visit Chattanooga, TN for an adventure

Chattanooga, the 4th largest city in the state, is located in Southeast Tennessee near the border of Georgia. The city has received national recognition for the renaissance of its beautiful downtown and redevelopment of its riverfront.  Chattanooga offers a variety of fun activities for everyone.

Enjoy the Tennessee Aquarium which takes you on a remarkable journey from the mountains to the sea. This aquarium will fascinate you for a couple of hours. Beneath its glass peaks, guests explore three living forests and meet amazing creatures that swim, fly and crawl in natural habitats. Discover giant catfish, crazy otters, prehistoric sturgeon, enormous snapping turtles and baby gators. Or deep sea dive where fierce sharks, stealthy stingrays and colorful reef fish glide through amazing coral formations. Experience a shark and ray touch pool, mysterious jellyfish and a rainforest where visitors are surrounded by hundreds free-flying butterflies. Visit the newest gallery, Penguins’ Rock, see macaroni and Gentoo penguins waddle, walk and dive in to the water to rocket past you.

For those of you traveling with your kids or grandkids, you have to take them to the Creative Discovery Museum.  This is a museum that keeps the kids entertained through interactive events within. From drawing, weaving, digging up “artifacts”, playing with the inventions, putting on plays and so much more. It’s enjoyable and provides hours of entertainment for you and the kids.

Then you can take a cruise on the Southern Belle Riverboat while enjoying lunch or dinner. This is truly worth the trip.

And what’s a visit to Chattanooga without touring Ruby Falls, Rock City, or the Incline Railway. All of these offer breathtaking views for the outdoors-man in all of us.
