Riviera RV Resort: Launching Point for Fun on the Colorado River

Sitting on the western banks of the Colorado River, Riviera RV Resort in Blythe, California, is a gateway to adventure on the water. Guests can use the resort’s boat launching area for access into the famous waterway, sink their toes in the sand at the resort’s own private riverfront beach or simply enjoy spectacular views of Southwestern desert scenery at its finest.

With 200 RV full-hookup spaces, the resort gives guests a chance to recharge batteries after a long day on the road. Unwind in the resort’s spa or catch up on your washing at the laundry facilities. Turn your kids lose at the arcade while you socialize with fellow RVers in the large community center. A pool and a horseshoe pit are also available for guests.

If you’re a boating or water skiing enthusiast, Rivera RV Resort provides everything you need for a great day on the river. In addition to a boat landing and launching area, guests can gas up their craft at a gas station that serves both nautical and land-based vehicles. You don’t have to bring a vessel to hit the water: Rent a craft from the boat rental and spend a day on the current.

Anglers who cast a line from their boats might just haul in Largemouth Bass, Rainbow Trout, Bullhead, Carp or one of the many fish that flourish in the water. The resort’s store sells fishing supplies, including tackle and bait.

Beachcombers are also welcome. Take your canine to Dog Island, located at the resort’s north end, for leash-free fun on a large, enclosed open space. For human-only leisure, head to the private cove located on the resort’s southern end. Kids can go wild on a playground that’s also located near the cove.

Don’t have an RV? The resort’s park models boast a variety of floor plans—including some with bunk beds—for families of all sizes. Many of these dwellings overlook the Colorado River for stunning views of the water and surrounding desert.

Riviera RV Resort’s owners aren’t strangers to fun on the river. The family that operates the resort is made up of avid boaters and campers who hail from Blythe and know what guests look for in a resort.

In addition to Wi-Fi, Internet is available at each site, and drivers of longer RVers can reserve one of the 60 pull-through spaces. Picnic tables are available at the sites, which have 30/50-amp power.
