Kingston
Beautiful historic Kingston was Canada’s original capital city when it was merely a province in 1847. In 1867, Canada became a country and this year we are celebrating 150 years.
Kingston is rich in culture and heritage and always has something going on throughout the summer. You can check out their website www.cityofkingston.ca for more information.
Rideau Acres Camping Resort
While visiting Kingston, Rideau Acres Camping Resort is the place to stay! We are a family campground that offers campsites that can accommodate tents up to the largest of RV’s. We have 30 and 50 amp full service campsites and are located 10 minutes outside of the city on the UNESCO world heritage site, the Rideau Canal. The Rideau Canal opened in 1832 and is the oldest continuously operated canal in North America working much like it did in 1832.
Rideau Acres has lots to do for the whole family whether its swimming in the pool or at the beach, hiking our trails, fishing or just relaxing at your campsite, you can do it all at Rideau Acres. We also have frisbee golf, mini putt, horseshoes, basketball, canoe, kayak and boat rentals.
