Lakewood Camping Resort has a sprawling outdoor pool with a 30-foot slide and an indoor pool that sits near the oceanfront. Guests can play mini golf, enjoy the game room, set their kids lose on the playground, or work up a sweat on the basketball and volleyball courts. A boat rental, bike rentals and kayak rentals beckon visitors who seek to explore the beach. Practical-minded RVers will enjoy the clean bathrooms, laundry facilities, small grocery store, a snack bar, a coffee shop, Snappy Zappy’s Pizzeria, the Stage Door Café and more.
New for 2013 are some exciting water features, including a 530-foot waterside that includes a tube slide, a body slide and speed slide. Available in the fall will be a 700-foot lazy River.
For the campers who wish to leave their RVs at home, villas are available with full kitchen and bathrooms. Lakewood Camping Resort offers villas with up to four bedrooms and full furnishing, including linens. Some villas are available for purchase.
Lakewood Camping Resort has almost 2,000 camping sites with full hookups, Wi-Fi and cable TV. Guests can pick from ocean front sites, lakefront sites, open sunny sites and shady, private sites.
After settling into your site, guests can explore Myrtle Beach, known as the Grand Strand. Take the kids to Ripley Aquarium, or get a wet and wild adrenaline rush at Family Kingdom Water Park or Wild Water Amusement Park. Head out on a fishing cruise, or go on a whale watching expedition. Spend the day exploring the boardwalk, or take in a round of golf.
