My wife and I have a bit of arthritis and often find the simple act of opening the gas cap on our tow vehicle to be bothersome. I cut a notch to fit the raised area on the gas cap on one end of a 6-inch long piece of PVC pipe, drilled a hole at the top of the pipe and slid a wooden dowel in the hole to act as a handle. Now, opening the cap is a cinch.
