Welcome back, y’all! Great news, many campgrounds and RV parks in the Palmetto State are now open for overnight stays. South Carolina State Parks are open as of Friday, May 1st on a limited basis.

Good Sam is actively updating our website with the latest information regarding campground openings. Visit our Guide to COVID-19 RV Park and Campground Openings page for a list of Good Sam Parks that are now open and accepting overnight guests. Also, as you search South Carolina and click on a park’s listing, look for the “COVID-19 Campground Visitor Update” box as it displays the opening date. Keep in mind, some events and amenities may not be available.

Many beaches are now open, but the governor has turned over the decision on beach closures to local officials, so check before you make the trip. And visitors should always follow their social distancing guidelines.
