Gettysburg Campground
The center of your family vacation to explore Civil War history should start in Gettysburg, PA. The Confederate States of America, led by Generals Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson, were actually winning the War Between the States. Until they accidentally met up with the Union Army of the Potomac. Commanded by General George Meade in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, it was the largest and bloodiest battle the first week of July, 1863.
Gettysburg Campground is a great location to camp on the same hallowed ground where many of these American heroes from the North and the South, fought for their ideals to keep America strong, great and united.
