Historic Vacation Fun at Gettysburg Campground in Pennsylvania

Gettysburg Campground welcomes guests to historic Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, home to amazing Civil War landmarks. Located just 3 miles west of the center of town, Gettysburg Campground is bordered by beautiful Marsh Creek, with both shady or sunny RV sites and a primitive tent area along the creek. A total of 260 sites accommodate guests, with everything from tent camping to any size RV. Gettysburg Campground is also the only campground in Gettysburg with an onsite RV repair facility. Folks also can choose rustic cabins and full-facility cottages.

Bring the whole family (pets are welcome!) and enjoy the campground’s many recreational amenities, including a well-equipped game room, mini-golf, shuffleboard, volleyball, horseshoes and a children’s playground. Relax in the pool on those hot summer days, and, in the evening, top off your campfire dinner with a movie or just unwind at your campsite. Gettysburg Campground’s onsite services are simply the best. Amenities include a laundry facility, LP gas, firewood, two dump stations, an on-site pump-out service, cable TV, free Wi-Fi (most sites), and a country-style store with RV supplies, food, toys, Civil War collectibles, books, jewelry, clothing and gifts. Also on hand is a snack bar serving breakfast and lunch, as well as an ice cream parlor featuring hand-dipped Hershey’s Ice Cream. In addition, there’s a large recreation hall available for use when it is not scheduled for a campground activity.

Nearby, in downtown Gettysburg, you will find Civil War battlefields, museums and exhibits, the Eisenhower Farm, ghost walks, great gift shops and restaurants, and many other great attractions. You can also take a day trip to the Carlisle Car Shows, Hershey, Harpers Ferry, York, Harrisburg and Lancaster County Amish country. On offer are bus tours to Gettysburg and Washington, D.C., making the campground an ideal location to visit the region.
