We purchased our very first motorhome, loaded it up, and headed out for that first trip. It was soooo exciting! The feeling of freedom was intense. I could take my little dog. I could go to the bathroom whenever I needed to without trying to find a clean bathroom at a gas station somewhere. I could fix us something to eat or drink whenever! I knew my sheets were clean, my towels were clean, the bathroom was clean, the bed was clean….I did not have to worry about who, or what, had been there, or was still there, before I checked in……that is such a wonderful feeling.
And the best was yet to come…we could stay anywhere because we had power, water, food, Oh yeah!, and satellite tv, everything we needed to be self-sufficient was at our fingertips. FREEDOM at its best, Wow! I can remember thinking, ‘it doesn’t get better than this’. The good Lord has blessed us with bigger, better, and newer motorhomes since then, but the first one will always have that special place in my heart, because it gave us that first taste of what real freedom feels like. We have now been RVing for 15 years and the flame of love for it still burns hot. We are retired now and have more time to travel, it does not matter where you go….just THAT you do and have fun! It is wonderful together time for couples and families…..Reconnect on the road!
