A Cool RV Photo Website

I decided, this week, to share a very nice little (RVing) Internet secret that I stumbled upon some time ago. Now, I know there is already a blogger here at RV.Net that writes about photography (Jon Vermilye), but I just had to share about this fantastic website. It is called RVPics and I believe you will enjoy all the photos that people have posted (myself included)!

I have been in contact with the site owners, Don and Carol, and I told them I was going to write about their site. I asked for some information so I may share it with the RV.Net community. This is what they gave me for a quick write up about them and their site: “RVPics was started in March, 2006 to satisfy my interest in two of my hobbies, photography and RV’ing. It started off very slowly, but grew in popularity and now has around 450 members, which is hard for me to believe. Members share their photos that have to do with their camping experiences. Carol and I have been married for 9 years and live in Turlock, California. We have met a lot of nice people and hope to camp with some of them as a group when the weather gets nicer. Some of us have started an informal group called the Northern California RV Camping Club. One can join the club by registering at RVPics, then sending me a request.”

Some of you may know me on the forums where I am known as Stugpanzer. One of my proud modifications is how I mounted my generator on my bumper. I needed a place to post the photos of my handy work and I stumbled across RVPics.com. Talking to Don, I am proud to say that my article is the highest traffic article on his site! Anytime people start talking about mounting a generator on their rig, I always post the url to my article over on RVPics.

When you visit RVPics, and I know you will, you will be pleasantly surprised by what you find there. The photos are just fantastic! It is a great place to explore the country right from your living room! Recently, there was a very cool thread about Panoramic photos and wow, you will be floored by what people have taken with their cameras!

One of the newest additions to their website is a RV Podcast. This is a fantastic idea! I look forward to future podcasts of RV people and RV topics!

So, c’mon RV.Net folks, go on over to Don and Carols RVPics site and get your photos posted! If you do, come on back here and submit a comment with the url to your entry so everybody can enjoy!

Happy Camping and see you next Sunday!
