2009 January RV Shows – Make your plans now!

Just when the holiday season winds down, the RV Show season begins, and there are some great RV shows coming up in January 2009. If you find yourself new to RVing, looking to get a great deal on an RV, or just looking for something fun to do when the “after-the-holiday-blues” set in, you’ll want to be sure to head to one of these RV shows. For about the same price as a movie (between $5-10 per adult), these shows provide access to the very latest RVs and RV-related gizmos and gadgets.

The first big show of the new year will kick off January 7-10, 2009 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado. It’s the Colorado RV Adventure Travel Show (shown at right). This show advertises easy access, easy parking, and RVs ranging from $500,000+ (a guy or gal can at least look, right?) to easy-to-pull tent trailers. They even have scooter and wheelchair rentals available at this show courtesy of Scootaround.

If you’ll be on the East Coast and south of the Mason-Dixon line in January, then you may want to check out the 20th Annual North Carolina RV & Camping Show in Greensboro, NC. It will be held at the Greensboro Coliseum, January 9-11, 2009. The North Carolina RV & Camping Show has grown to become one of the largest RV shows in the Mid-Atlantic States. It fills over 300,000 square feet of space and features top national RV brands with a wide assortment of floor plans.

Then there is the 23rd Annual Washington Camping RV Expo (shown at left). It will be held at the Dulles Expo Center in Chantily, Virginia,  January 16-18, 2009. Parking is free, plus if you go to the show office your first day, you can get a free return pass! This particular show has expanded over the years into two exhibit buildings at the Dulles Expo Center. It brings in RV Dealers from Virginia, Maryland and several other states, all with a variety of RVs and floorplans to meet every budget and camping style. And for the beginners out there, expert campers will be on hand to answer lifestyle or technical questions.

That same weekend, January 16-18th, is the 42nd Annual New Jersey Trailer & Camping Show at the New Jersey Convention Center in Edison, New Jersey. Touting itself as the “go-to-place” to begin planning your camping vacations for the season, this show originally stared in Asbury Park.
