GPS Solution copyMy idea for a less invasive way to attach the suction cup mount of my GPS was similar to Carroll Manning’s of Sonora, California (Quick Tips, July), except I purchased an 85-cent, 3-inch round of clear acrylic from TAP Plastics (www.tapplastics.com). The company sells several sizes for various uses. To attach the acrylic disk, I used a couple of UHU Tac adhesive removable putty squares, flattened them out as thin as possible to the bottom of the disk, then cleaned the vinyl spot on the dashboard with alcohol and pressed the disk to the vinyl. UHU is used for temporary posters, decorations, etc., and can be purchased at most art supply stores.

  1. I used plastic glass and glued P V C pipe 3" long to the bottom side so it would fit in the cup holder done $3.00.
