Niagara Falls is one of the seven natural wonders of the world, so it definitely should be on your bucket list. Located on the border between the United States and Canada, the massive waterfall welcomes nearly 14 million visitors yearly. Many of these tourists come in the summer months. Spring prices are generally cheaper between April and mid-June than during the busier summer season. Visiting Niagara Falls during the spring “shoulder” period can also mean fewer crowds and shorter waiting times at the most popular attractions. The weather is slightly cooler than the summer months. In spring, the flowers around the Niagara Parks start to bloom with the glorious spectacle of spring daffodils and tulips.

Attractions & Events
You can either drive and park near the falls or take the WEGO bus system. The bus stop comes right to Campark Resorts and goes to all the attractions in Niagara Falls. From May 18th until June 17th, 2018, enjoy a spectacular fireworks display every Friday, Saturday and Sunday (and Holiday Mondays) at 10 p.m. in Queen Victoria Park.
The Skylon Tower is an observation tower featuring sweeping vistas of Niagara Falls plus an arcade and revolving restaurant.
Nearby are the grounds of the Niagara Parks Commission’s Botanical Gardens. You’ll discover 99 acres of beautifully maintained gardens with stunning colourful springtime flowers. You’ll understand the expression, “it’s like a breath of spring air” when you visit the gardens.
For a little throwback to the old days of Niagara, take a trip above the Falls’ whirlpool in the Aero Car, which dates back to 1913. You enjoy breathtaking views from this vintage contraption, which perhaps surprisingly boasts a perfect safety record. Niagara Falls also has a casino for your gambling indulgence.
Spring also means the start of the season for the world famous Shaw Festival, a must-see theatre experience with its variety of theatre productions. This is in Niagara-on-the-Lake, a charming, flower-filled, tree-lined old town which features 19th-century buildings. It is located on the Niagara Peninsula at the point where the Niagara River meets Lake Ontario, across the river from New York state, United States.
A drive to the world-class city of Toronto is only an hour and a half away where you can visit the CN Tower, the Royal Ontario Museum, shopping and a smorgasbord of dining options.
