Raccoon Mountain Campground and Caverns, located just outside of Chattanooga, Tennessee, surrounds guests in adventure and comfort.

The Campground

Raccoon MountainRaccoon Mountain Campground offers a wide range of accommodations and amenities for you to enjoy. You will find 116 sites with a variety of options: from primitive tent sites to full-hookups with 20/30/50 amp service, free Wi-Fi and cable TV, large pull-through sites that can easily accommodate the largest RV’s with multiple slides and tow vehicles. There are also nine rustic cabins, each furnished with air conditioning/heat, fire ring, porch, grill and picnic tables, flat screen TVs, and a couple have full kitchens and baths.

At the campground, guests can enjoy various amenities perfect for kids and adults alike. This includes a newly renovated outdoor saltwater pool, dog park, playground, gem panning, newly updated pavilion, shuffleboard, corn hole, ladder ball and the Raccoon Mountain Caverns cave tours and gift shop located on the campground.

The Caverns

Raccoon MountainRaccoon Mountain Caverns consists of over 5.5 miles of underground passageways. The caves are especially well preserved and considered to be the most geologically active in the southern United States! The Caverns offer two unique experiences: the Crystal Palace Tour and Wild Cave Expeditions. The Crystal Palace Tour features an educational ½-mile walking tour that allow guests to learn about the caves and view wildlife. The Wild Cave Expeditions are famous “get muddy” tours that allow guests to go deeper and explore the undeveloped sections of the caves.
